Cultural Heritage Campaigns—
Project Type: Event Design / Large-Format Print / Digital
A year-long visual system celebrating unity, diversity, and brand consistency.
Black History Month Celebration
As the division's largest cultural event of the year, Gwinnett’s Black History Month Celebration required a full campaign suite spanning print, digital, and environmental design. I developed cohesive materials that included event signage, display boards, and a social media series to support both community outreach and encourage vendor registration. The designs highlighted the rich history of Black Americans in the United States and within the County, balancing educational storytelling with the County’s modern, family-friendly brand aesthetic. Directional signage guided attendees throughout the GJAC campus, ensuring a smooth and visually engaging event experience from entry to exit.
Asian American & Pacific Islander Heritage Celebration
For Asian American & Pacific Islander Heritage Month, I designed educational display boards, menu boards, and photo props that celebrated the rich diversity and cultural contributions of AAPI communities. Guided by the theme “Choosing Humanity: Joy, Justice, and Leadership,” the campaign emphasized unity, empowerment, and shared joy. Each piece was built on a modular design system that combined vibrant color, typographic balance, and subtle cultural motifs—creating a cohesive visual experience that felt both contemporary and deeply rooted in heritage.
Centered on the theme “Choosing Humanity: Joy, Justice, and Leadership,” this campaign celebrated community, harmony, and shared cultural pride. I designed educational display boards highlighting AAPI history and contributions. The visuals reflect Gwinnett’s inclusive brand identity while promoting unity, empowerment, and joy across generations.
Hispanic & Latino Heritage Celebration
Developed a cohesive visual identity system for Gwinnett County’s Hispanic Latino Heritage Month Celebration, translating the event’s theme, Defining Culture and Influence, into a vibrant, community-driven campaign. The design system balanced cultural warmth with institutional clarity, using Gwinnett’s signature color arcs, dynamic photography, and clean typography to unify print, digital, and environmental applications. From countdown graphics and event signage to informational displays, each element worked together to create an inviting and celebratory visual experience that honored the diversity and influence of Hispanic and Latino communities.
Native American Heritage Celebration
To honor Native American Heritage Month, I was tasked with designing a series of educational display boards highlighting the history, traditions, and cultural impact of Native Americans in Georgia and across the United States. The layout balanced informative storytelling with Gwinnett’s signature modern aesthetic, ensuring visual cohesion across the County’s cultural campaigns. Each board featured carefully curated imagery, color pairings, and typography that paid tribute to the event’s tone of respect, education, and celebration—transforming the GJAC lobby into an engaging public learning space.
