For my senior capstone exhibition, I created a project titled "Secondary," which highlights the significance of minor characters from classical literature. The characters I focused on included Tybalt Capulet from Romeo and Juliet, Milady de Winter from The Three Musketeers, The Mad Hatter from Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, and Jordan Baker from The Great Gatsby.
The exhibition featured hanging banners designed to resemble book spines for each character, providing a visually engaging representation of their roles in their respective stories. To enhance the experience, I designed and offered bookmarks that visitors could take home, extending the theme and connection beyond the exhibition space. Additionally, I crafted a handmade process book that detailed each step and design decision made throughout the project, offering insight into the creative process and the rationale behind highlighting these often overlooked characters.
